
Crust:
1 c. Granulated Sugar
1/2 c. Butter
3 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
1-12 oz. Box Vanilla Wafers, crushed
1 1/2 c. Coconut
Cream sugar and butter.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
Add vanilla, beat until light and fluffy.
Stir in cookie crumbs and coconut.
Drop by large spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Wet fingertips and press dough evenly over bottom of pan.
Bake 20-25 minutes at 325°F.
Pour and spread topping over hot bars.
Broil until topping bubbles.
Cool, cut into bars.
Topping:
1/2 c. Butter
5 Tbsp. Cream
1 c. Brown Sugar
1/2 c. Pecans, chopped
Combine topping ingredients in saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil gently for 3 minutes.
