Apple Stack Cake

1 c. Butter or Margarine
1 c. Molasses
3 Eggs
4 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Ginger
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Cloves
1 c. Milk
2 1/2 c. Apple Butter or Spiced Applesauce
2 Tbsp. Powdered Sugar
Cream together sugar and butter or margarine until fluffy.
Beat in molasses and eggs.
In separate bowl combine flour and remaining dry ingredients.
Beat dry ingredients into creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Spoon half of batter into 3 greased and floured 9″ cake pans.
Bake 15-20 minutes at 375°F.
Repeat baking process with remaining batter.
Let layers cool.
Spread apple butter or apple sauce between all six layers.
Dust top of cake with powdered sugar.
