Cherry Pie

1-9″ Unbaked Double Pie Shell

Filling:
4 c. Pie Cherries
1 1/2 c. Granulated Sugar
4 Tbsp. Cornstarch
Pinch of Cinnamon
1 Drop Almond Extract
Few Drops Red Food Coloring
4 tsp. Butter, cut into tiny cubes

Stir together cherries, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, almond extract and food coloring.
Pour into pie shell.
Scatter butter pieces on top of cherry mixture.
Cover with lattice pastry top.
Bake 10 minutes at 425°F.
Lower oven temp. to 350°F and bake another 30 minutes.
