
Chocolate Eclair Cake

1/2 c. Butter or Margarine
1 c. Cake Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
4 Eggs, at room temperature
2 Pkgs. Instant Vanilla Pudding
2 3/4 c. Milk
8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
12 oz. Frozen Whipped Topping, thawed
1/2 c. Chocolate Chips
2 Tbsp. Margarine
1 c. Powdered Sugar
Bring water and butter or margarine to a boil.
Add flour and salt.
Stir until mixture forms a ball.
Cool slightly.
Beat in eggs.
Spread dough into an ungreased 15″ x 9″ pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 400°F.
Remove from oven and puncture bubbles with a fork.
Cool completely.
Mix pudding and milk until thick.
Add softened cream cheese.
Spread mixture over crust.
Spread whipped topping over pudding layer.
Melt chocolate chips and 2 Tbsp. margarine.
Stir in powdered sugar and 2-3 Tbsp. milk to form a thin glaze.
Drizzle chocolate glaze over whipped topping.
Chill before serving.
