Chocolate Pound Cake

1 c. Shortening
3 c. Granulated Sugar
5 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 c. Cake Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 c. + 1 Tbsp. Unsweetened Cocoa
1 c. Milk
1/2 c. Mini Chocolate Chips
Cream together butter and shortening.
Beat in eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with the flour.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spoon into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake 45-60 minutes at 325°F.
Let cool in pans 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool.
