Coffee Cake

1 c. Granulated Sugar
1/2 c. Butter, softened
2 Eggs
1 tap. Vanilla
2 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/8 tsp. Salt
1 c. Sour Cream
Filling & Topping:
1 c. Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp. Flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 Tbsp. Butter
1/3 c. Walnuts or Pecans, chopped (optional)
Cream together sugar, butter eggs and vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in alternately with sour cream.
Mix together ingredients for filling/topping.
Spread 3/4 of cake batter into a greased 9″ x 13″ pan or bunt pan.
Scatter half of filling/topping over batter.
Spread remaining batter over filling/topping.
Scatter remaining filling/topping on top of batter.
Bake 45 minutes at 350°F.
