Cranberry Butter Cookies

1/2 c. Butter, softened
1/2 c. Shortening
1/2 c. Granulated Sugar
1/2 c. Powdered Sugar
1 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 c, Flour
1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1/2 tsp. Grated Lemon Zest
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 c. Dried Cranberries, chopped
1/4 c. Walnuts or Pecans, finely chopped

Cream together butter, shortening and sugars.
Add egg and vanilla.
Add flour, cream of tartar, lemon zest and salt.
Mix in cranberries and nuts.
Cover dough and chill 2 hours.
Shape dough into 1/2″ balls.
Place 2″ apart on parchment lined cookie sheets.
Press cookies with bottom of a drinking glass dipped in granulated sugar.
Bake 10-12 minutes at 350°F.
