
Eggnog Bread

1 c. Eggnog
1 c. Granulated Sugar
1/2 c. Butter, melted
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/4 tsp. Rum Flavoring
2 1/4 c. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1 c. Slivered Almonds, toasted
In mixing bowl whisk together eggs, eggnog, sugar, butter, vanilla and rum flavoring.
Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg just until moistened.
Fold in almonds.
Spoon batter into a greased 9″x5″x3″ loaf pan or two smaller loaf pans.
Bake 40-45 minutes at 350°F.
Let cool in pans 10 minutes before removing.
Let cool completely.
Drizzle with icing.
Let icing set before wrapping in plastic for storage.
Icing:
1 c. Powdered Sugar
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
Pinch of Nutmeg
1 Tbsp. Eggnog
Stir together all ingredients until smooth and drizzly.
Thin with more eggnog if necessary.
