English Muffin Bread

2 Pkgs. Yeast
1 Tbsp. Granulated Sugar
1/4 tsp. Soda
2 c. Milk
1/2 c. Water
Cornmeal
Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda.
Heat liquids until very warm, 120°F-130°F.
Add dry ingredients and beat well.
Stir in enough more flour to make a stiff batter.
Grease 2 loaf pans and sprinkle inside of pans with cornmeal.
Spoon batter into pans.
Sprinkle tops with cornmeal.
Cover, let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
Bake at 400°F. for 25 minutes.
Remove from pans immediately.
Best when toasted.
