
2 c. Granulated Sugar
3 Eggs
1 c. Oil
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 c. Flour
1 tsp. Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 c. Apples, peeled and chopped
1 c. walnuts, chopped
Cream sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla.
Mix in flour, soda and salt.
Fold in apples and nuts.
Pour into greased 9″ x 13″ pan.
Bake 40-55 minutes at 350°F.
Pour glaze over cake while still hot.
Glaze:
1 c. Granulated Sugar
4 Tbsp. Butter
1 c. Buttermilk
1/2 tsp. Soda
2 tsp. Vanilla
Melt butter in saucepan.
Add sugar, buttermilk and soda.
Boil 4 minutes over medium heat stirring occasionally.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour over cake.
