Lemon Cream Loaf

1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/3 c. Granulated Sugar
1/2 c. Shortening
2 Eggs
1/2 tsp. Lemon Extract
8 oz. Cream Cheese, cut into 1/4″ cubes
1 c. Milk
2 Tbsp. Grated Lemon Peel
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
Fold in cream cheese, milk, lemon extract and lemon peel.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake 50 minutes at 375°F.
Pour glaze over loaf.
Glaze:
1/3 c. Granulated Sugar
1/4 c. Lemon Juice
Stir together until sugar starts to dissolve.
