Poppy Seed Pinwheels

1/2 c. Butter
1/4 c. Granulated Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Grated Orange Peel
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 1/2 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Soda
1 c. Poppy Seed Filling

In mixing bowl cream together butter, sugar, egg, orange peel and vanilla.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Mix in flour and soda.
Mix to form a soft dough.
Cover and chill 1 hour until firm.
Roll half of dough between two sheets of waxed paper into 12″ x 10″ rectangle.
Repeat with remaining dough.
Chill 30 minutes.
Take top layer of waxed paper from dough.
Spread 1/2 c. poppy seed filling to within 1/4″ of edge.
Roll up jellyroll fashion.
Pinch edges to seal.
Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
Cut into 1″ slices.
Place slices onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
Bake 10-12 minutes at 350°F.
Cool completely.
Dust with powdered sugar.
