Cherry Pie Bars

1 1/2 c. Granulated Sugar 1 c. Butter 4 Eggs 1 tsp. Vanilla 3 c. Flour 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder 1 tsp. Salt 20 oz. Can Cherry Pie Filling Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Spread half of batter into a greased 9" x 13" pan. Spread pie filling on top of batter.
