Wild Rice Cake

2 c. Brown Sugar
1/2 c. Butter, softened
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Maple Flavoring
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1 c. Buttermilk, divided
2 c. Cake Flour
1 tsp. Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 c. Wild Rice, cooked
1/2 c. Walnuts or Pecans,chopped
Caramel Sauce

In mixing bowl cream sugar, butter and eggs.
Add maple flavoring and vanilla.
Beat in half of buttermilk.
In separate bowl combine flour, soda and salt.
Mix flour into creamed mixture alternately with remaining buttermilk.
Stir in rice and nuts.
Pour into greased bundt pan.
Bake 35-40 minutes at 350°F.
Serve with warm caramel sauce drizzled over top of each slice.
